Minimum Viable Products (MVP) are not products with limited functionality but a “strategy used for quickly and quantitatively exploring the market for a specific product or product feature.”
Victor Yatsenko, HRD, Product, and Project Manager, talked about the world of MVP in student project developments during his lecture as part of the “IT Starts” project.
The goals of MVP:
• To test a product hypothesis using minimal resources;
• To accelerate team learning.
Eric Ries, co-founder and CTO of IMVU, and a strong advocate of the minimum viable product concept, defines MVP as a version of a new product that allows for maximum learning about the user with the least effort. In other words, an MVP allows testing real use scenarios of the product by the consumer.
Thank you, Victor, for introducing us to this world! It was a very interesting and informative lecture!
