Odesa IT Family, together with experts from our member companies, actively participates in the project “Updated Informatics – IT Studies” initiated by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine under the EU4Digital Ukraine program.
Within the project, IT clusters and IT companies help create educational videos on updated informatics for students and school teachers in Ukraine. This initiative is very important for us as we are committed to the development of IT education.
Andrii Sylchuk, Delivery Director and Head of the DataArt Development Center in Odesa, leads this initiative on behalf of Odesa IT Family and DataArt, and is responsible for the materials and scripts for educational videos. Three of them – on cloud technologies and computing, front-end development, data analysis, and data visualization – are already ready and are being shown to students at the beginning of the new topic in updated informatics lessons.

The updated informatics course covers topics such as digital literacy, media literacy, computational thinking and programming, data analysis and modeling, digital citizenship. IT study materials comply with state standards and the standards of the New Ukrainian School. Currently, over 41,000 registered users are already using the IT study resources!
Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister of Digital Transformation, believes that the updated IT study lessons in informatics are one of the first steps to help students confidently enter the IT field. To make learning interesting for them, to use the Internet for their own development and goal achievement. And later – to create products in Ukraine that will become known worldwide.
