Employer Branding Community

Friends of the Odesa IT Family, the Ukrainian Employer Branding Community has published the results of a study on how benefits in Ukrainian companies changed during a full-scale invasion.

Representatives of the HR, Employer Branding and Compensation&Benefits departments from 51 Ukrainian companies took part in the qualitative study, which lasted from March to April 2023. 84% of all respondents are representatives of the IT industry. Another 16% are consulting and retail companies, financial institutions and others.

Due to Russian aggression, almost a third of Ukrainian IT companies reduced their budgets for benefits, another quarter reformatted them for specific requests.

Among the new benefits are relocation support within Ukraine and abroad, mental health (psychological support), insurance (corporate insurance abroad, improved insurance in Ukraine), those directly related to the impact of the war. Among those that have been suspended are partial or full coverage of sports, corporate events and gifts, training and development.
