«Ukrainian-Japanese business partnership without borders»

On April 11, Odesa IT Family joined the online event “Ukrainian-Japanese business partnership without borders”, organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine, the Embassy of Ukraine in Japan, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO).

During the event, participants learned about the advantages and opportunities of doing business with Japan in accordance with the needs of the Asian market, the features of effective communication with Japanese business, an overview of Japan’s import and retail trade, and of course, an overview of the IT industry with an emphasis on artificial intelligence in Japan.

As JETRO representatives noted, the most attractive factor for doing business in Japan is the size of the market, followed by extensive infrastructure and the market as a testing ground for measuring the competitiveness of new products and services.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs presented the IT industry, talked about the growth of the sector in recent years and the slowdown in growth due to the war, reminded about e-residency in Ukraine, noted that the plans to increase the industry’s share in GDP to 10% and talked about Ukraine’s plans to enter the TOP – 5 countries of IT startups.

We are thankful to the Odesa Military Administration, the Department of Investment and Foreign Economic Activities for the invitation!
