On September 4, Diia.City Union organized a meeting between representatives of the IT industry and the leadership of Ukraine’s Ministry of Economy and Environment, with Odesa IT Family joining the discussion.

Together with Diia.City Union and IT Ukraine, we continue to advocate for an issue that is important to the industry — extending government support mechanisms to the IT sector.

During the meeting with Deputy Ministers of Economy and Environment Vitalii Kindrativ and Oleksandr Tsybort, we discussed the most critical issues facing businesses, the Government’s current economic priorities, and private-sector support programs.

Among the key topics were:
— drivers of economic growth and support instruments for the services and IT sectors;

— retention of critical talent in technology industries and the criteria for determining critical enterprise status;

— war-risk insurance mechanisms and compensation for the restoration of damaged businesses;

— prospects for the Made in Ukraine program in 2027;

— IT and technology exports and new instruments to support their growth.

For Odesa IT Family, it is important that the needs of IT companies in southern Ukraine are represented in the dialogue with the government and taken into account when business support programs are developed and expanded.

We thank Diia.City Union for organizing the meeting and the Ministry’s team for their openness to dialogue.

Together with the Odesa IT community, we continue working to expand access to government support opportunities for the technology sector.
