IT Wave X: the main IT event in the south of Ukraine brought together experts and market leaders

On January 24, 2025, we held IT Wave X in Odesa, a conference that became a key event for the IT community of small and medium-sized businesses in southern Ukraine. We brought together top speakers, business representatives, government officials, and experts to discuss the key challenges and opportunities of the industry.

The event was opened by representatives of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, leading entrepreneurs, researchers and opinion leaders. Panel discussions provided a platform for debating topical issues ranging from the regulation of Generative AI and tax changes to the prospects of Code UA and the global competitiveness of Ukrainian IT business.

IT Wave is an event that inspires dozens of companies and hundreds of professionals who are already using the knowledge gained. We live in a time when IT is not only an engine of innovation, but also an important element of economic, social and cultural development of our region.
The main topics of the conference:

Impact of changes in public policy and tax regulation on IT business.
The future of Diia.City, implementation of AI sandbox and adaptation of companies to new challenges.
Export of IT services, international cooperation, and entry of Ukrainian companies into global markets.

Two panel discussions awaited the participants:

Financial and legal.
How is the tax environment for IT companies changing? How to adapt to new regulatory initiatives? These issues were discussed by Oleksandr Borniakov, Oleksiy Dobronravov, Artem Borodatiuk and Sergiy Torchuk. Moderated by Dmytro Tkachenko (DT Partners LF).

Business.
Experts analyzed the development of AI, access to international markets, and key business trends in 2025. The speakers were Natalia Denikeeva, Diana Rakus, Sergiy Garashchuk, Vladislav Shimov, Igor Oklander, and Nick Nagatkin. The discussion was moderated by Vadym Drumov (Hillel Computer School / Hillel It School).
