On May 27–28, the first-ever IEEE-standard 3D Maze Robot Competition in Ukraine — Robo Intelligence — took place at Odesa I. I. Mechnikov National University with the support of Odesa IT Family.
For two days, the university’s Physics Department became a space where:
▪️ robots searched for their way through 3D mazes
▪️ participants tested their algorithms on real-world tracks
▪️ school students, university students, and tech enthusiasts came together around robotics, AI, and engineering culture
▪️ IT companies and academia explored technology not only in theory, but through hands-on practice, code, and experimentation
A total of 19 teams from universities across Ukraine took part in the competition.
Congratulations to Zhuzhyk from Odesa National Maritime University and Snowblind from Odesa I. I. Mechnikov National University on their victory!
For Odesa IT Family, events like this are about strengthening Odesa’s tech ecosystem, supporting engineering culture, and creating opportunities for young people to work with technology in practice, test their ideas, and connect with like-minded peers and industry professionals.
We would like to thank Odesa I. I. Mechnikov National University for organizing this event and for continuously developing such initiatives in Odesa.
Special thanks to our partners for their support, prizes for participants, and contribution to the growth of Ukraine’s technology community.
